STEP 1 - BOOKING IN A DATE
For outdoor maternity sessions I prefer to shoot in the late afternoon for optimal lighting - the time frame of this will depend upon the season and the sun. The images that are on my website with that amazing pretty glow are all taken at golden hour (the last hour or so before sunset). I know this time may not suit everyone and there may need to be some juggling (especially with young siblings) but I honestly believe that it will be worth it as your images really will be that much more magical. Studio sessions can be at any time of the day and are always gorgeous as well. Bookings are all done via my website calendar. This way you can select the best date and time for you, from my available spots. If you book the last available afternoon session for the day I will contact you closer to your date to confirm what time the best light will be. When you book you will pay the session fee of $100, booking via the link below will only take a few minutes. The session fee is not refundable but can be transferred to another session or date. The booking fee is separate to the packages below, one package must be purchased after your session in order to access digital files. |
STEP 2 - THE SESSION
Once you have booked in a date, I'll send you a prep guide that will walk you through everything for your session. That guide has been created and refined over years of experience, so it typically answers 90% of the questions that come up, but just drop me a message if you want additional help. A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if the forecast is questionable or someone seems to be coming down with the flu, we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any lastminute questions. The day of the session, please block off 1.5 - 2 hours. Typically we're done within 1 hour or so, but I don't charge by the hour, so if there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, I like to stay flexible. .Finally, take a breath and relax... I promise to give the grown-ups (and kids) breaks throughout the session as needed, and to make it as painless as possible for everyone involved.

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a usb somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Below is a sample of some of the items you can choose among:
